Mr. DeMaio is the sole member of The Law Offices of Vito C. DeMaio. He is an experienced trial lawyer with a diverse civil litigation practice. He has extensive experience in the areas of complex commercial litigation, construction law, shareholder/partnership disputes, franchise disputes, commercial and residential landlord/tenant disputes, consumer fraud claims, public contract matters, corporate collection actions, Federal and State tax controversies, probate and administration actions and contract disputes, of every nature. He has litigated cases in State and Federal Courts in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania and is also adept at alternative dispute resolution, routinely appearing in mediation and arbitration proceedings before the American Arbitration Association (AAA) and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).
Mr. DeMaio also has extensive transactional experience, specifically including, but not limited to, the preparation of complex construction contracts, commercial and residential lease agreements, business formation documents, business purchase/sale documents, franchise agreements, buy-sell agreements, financing and security agreements, consignment agreements, corporate credit applications and contracts.
In connection with his Estate Planning and Elder Law practice, Mr. DeMaio has vast experience counseling clients and preparing complex documents in the areas of asset protection, wills, powers of attorney and combined advance healthcare directives. In this regard, Mr. DeMaio possesses an LL.M. in Taxation from the prestigious New York University School of Law, Masters in Taxation program.
With respect to his Appellate practice, Mr. DeMaio has handled all aspects of matters before the Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and has a seminal published Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division decision, in the area of public contract bidding.
Mr. DeMaio is licensed to practice law in the States of New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania and is a Member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, New Jersey State Bar Association, Tax Section and Ocean County Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. DeMaio received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Fordham University, College of Business Administration, his Law Degree from St. John’s University School of Law and his Masters in Taxation from New York University School of Law.
